New Orleans City Tour and Natchez Cruise Combo - November to March Description

City Tour

Absorb the sights and sounds of the famous French Quarter and historic Jackson Square, home of the Cabildo and Presbytere Museums. Listen as your tour guide points out the landmarks and splendid architecture that made New Orleans famous.

Walk through St. Louis Cemetery, one of the unusual "Cities of the Dead" (cemeteries), and learn about this unique above-ground burial system.

Marvel at stories of Voodoo and piracy on Bayou St. John, the waterway used by Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates, as you make your way to the shores of Lake Pontchartrain. Follow the path of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar, past the homes of former Kings and Queens of Mardi Gras, stately mansions, and the world-famous exclusive Garden District.

Natchez Cruise

Experience the sights and sounds of river life that enchanted characters of history and literature -- like Mark Twain's Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer -- and see the bustling activity of our nation's second largest port!

View the ever-changing skyline of "The Crescent City" from the sunny decks or climate-controlled interior decks of the majestic Steamboat Natchez.

Cruise past the Chalmette Battlefield, where the legendary Jean Lafitte and his buccaneers joined forces with Andrew Jackson to defend our city against the British in the Battle of New Orleans.

This tour includes a 2-hour narrated motorcoach tour and a 2-hour paddle wheeler boat cruise. The city tour begins at 9:00 am. The cruise departs at 11:30 am. The vessel boarding begins one-half hour prior to departure. Lunch, refreshments, and souvenirs are available on the boat (not included in the price).
