If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

This cruise is aboard the Ho'o Nanea - a 40-foot sailing Catamaran.

This Sunset Sail is casual and very down-to-earth. The Ho'o Nanea is a very safe and stable sailing catamaran that lets you relax and stay dry, without sacrificing the feeling of being close to the ocean. This is not a fancy dinner cruise. No dress code. No hula dancers, tiki torches and umbrella-topped daquiries being crammed down your throat. Instead, it provides the typical understated North Shore atmosphere of friends getting together to enjoy an evening out on the ocean.

Some of our crew play the Ukulele, but only if the guests enjoy it and request it! No audience participation required! On our cruise you can enjoy nature with your friends and the very friendly crew, or be left in peace to take in the evening glow with your partner.

We serve a variety of nice appetizer-style food and non-alcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring your own favorite adult beverages. We will put them on ice for you.

How far is Haleiwa from Waikiki?
-It's about 1 hour driving time from Waikiki, via H1 and H2.

Is Hawaii sailing on a catamaran different than traditional sailing?
-Catamarans are smoother riding than single hulled vessels. Our 40' catamaran, the Ho'o Nanea, is the perfect size for a Hawaii sailing adventure. The sailing catamaran is Coast Guard certified for 25 passengers, and all of our tours are a max passenger count of 20. With this intimate group, we are able to give customized service to all of our passengers.

Can I bring my children with me on my sailing trip?
-Of course! Sailing in Hawaii is a wonderful family adventure. It is also a great educational experience for all members of the family. However, we do not recommend bringing toddlers and small children under 4 yrs or age. Our catamaran is very stable, but has open railings and does sway up and down with the waves. Moving about the boat safely requires holding on with at least one hand, which can be hard when holding a small child.

Do you provide food and beverages?
-All of our tours include complementary non-alcoholic drinks. Our sunset tours feature Pupu Platters (appetizer style food).

What should I bring on my Hawaii sailing tour?
-Be prepared for lots of fun! You should be prepared for the warm Hawaiian sun, and the occasional passing shower. Please bring a light jacket, your camera, sunscreen, and a hat.

Can I get seasick during your sailing trips?
-Our catamaran is very stable and few people get seasick. However, if you are prone to sea sickness, or have never been on a boat, it would be wise to take a sea sickness preventative at least one hour before the trip.

How far in advance should I book my tour?
-The earlier you book your Hawaii sailing tour, the better - especially if you have a larger group. Sometimes there is space available on very short notice, but make sure you call us to check availability of you are booking within 7 days of your target date.

Can I charter the whole boat?
-Of course. We have special charter and group prices. Call us for cost and availability.
